IP CCTV
One of the many advantages of Video-over-IP solutions is the ability, in the event of an emergency, to transfer all of the control and monitoring capability to any other point on the corporate network - in fact any IP connected location.

The IP-networked solution offers excellent flexibility and scalability. Until the adoption of the IP-network, to install a new remotely located CCTV camera would have involved the installation of hundreds of metres of fibre-optic, or Co-Axial cable, now it is simply a matter of installing a new network point. The use of IP technology allows new cameras to be added seamlessly with the minimum of overhead and cost.

All CCTV images are streamed as high definition digital video at real time 25 frames a second across an existing Wired or Wireless Local Area Network. By utilising advanced network protocols, for example QoS and Multicast, it is possible to view live video at multiple locations with minimal bandwidth impact on the network.
