The remote access point (RAP) is one of many features unique to Aruba and separates the ‘standard followers’ from the ‘future visionaries’. A central switch can be installed in any office regardless of location and then RAP’s can be deployed in remote sites and buildings or even at home and they will automatically and dynamically create an ultra secure IP-Sec tunnel back to the central controller over existing infrastructure. This feature alone opens up all kinds of avenues and idea’s for deployment models and doesn’t even scratch the surface of the feature sets found on any Aruba Mobility Controller.

Aruba is the only product to have RF intruder detection and prevention and an inbuilt Policy Enforcement Firewall which means that not only can you detect rouge devices, interference and RF threats but you can also locate them and prevent them from operating. The firewall means you can enforce security policies and allocate bandwidth restrictions on a per person basis.
